EDUCATION & TRAINING

RNA Nursing Agency’s in-service and short course education programs are provided to all members. Clinical experts and/or experienced nurse educators facilitate all education sessions. If there are specific areas members would like further assistance with please let us know as we will endeavor to make those needs a priority.

We will notify members each month by including a flyer in your pay slip of the in-services that will be offered or alternatively you can pop into the main office and view our education board. Please remember that you must book your attendance at sessions with one of our education co-coordinators. Any suggestions for training courses are welcome.

OUR COOKS

All cooks must have relevant experience and knowledge of preparing quality meals and safety standards within a Health Care setting.

OUR CLEANERS

All cleaners must have relative work experience and knowledge of using cleaning equipment, and safety standards within a Health Care setting.

OUR REGISTERED NURSES

All of our nurses comply with current legislation requirements pertaining to the Nursing Council of New Zealand, and hold relevant experience in the required fields within their scope of practice. All nurses must comply with regulations for Professional Development Portfolios and on-going educational needs.

OUR HEALTH CARE ASSISTANTS

Here at RNA Nursing Agency we pride ourselves on the quality of carers we provide. This is all down to the intensive training courses that we run. All our carers are trained in Manual Handling, Comprehensive first aid, Medication Competency, Infection Control, Food Hygiene, with on-going training throughout the year. In addition all staff have a valid enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check and appropriate references are obtained and verified.

OUR SITTERS

Sitters come from a multitude of backgrounds with professional experience in Aged Care, or Babysitting services. They undergo the same processes as our nursing staff prior to employment.
